Location & Directions
Keswick is located only 16 miles from the M6 motorway. At junction 40 (Penrith) head towards Keswick and Cockermouth.
Keswick is situated in the Northern Lake District in Cumbria, 16 miles West of Penrith and about 30 miles South of Carlisle. The town is easily accessed by various routes, with the easiest being the A66 which runs from the M6 Motorway at Penrith through to the West Coast of Cumbria. Alternatively, head through the Central Lakes past Windermere, through Ambleside North on the A596.
Where Is The Keswick Beer Festival?
The festival is held in the grounds of the Keswick Rugby Club, near to Keswick town centre. There are hotels, bed and breakfast and self catering properties nearby, and there is a camping and caravan site only 5 minutes walk away.
To get to the club, head through town until you arrive at the mini roundabout near to the Co-op supermarket and take the exit to Borrowdale – a left or a right turn dependant on which way you are coming from. After 50 yards or so take the next right (beside Booths supermarket). Go up the road for 100 yards and turn right just past the entrance to the supermarket carpark – Keswick Rugby Club is on your right.
