Sam Heselwood and Band

The band came together after frontman Sam Heselwood moved from New Zealand to the UK. One night, Sam, Frankie, Milsey, and their mate Matty were sitting in a local pub, a few pints deep, joking about starting a band for a bit of craic. Matty came along to a few early practices but eventually stepped away due to other commitments. Things got real when lead guitarist Jack joined the mix.

At the time, Sam’s solo music was gaining momentum across the region, and the groups first performance together was at his album launch show to a sold out crowd. To keep things simple, they adopted the name Sam Heselwood, and have since been building a sound and energy of their own – now ready to make waves across Cumbria.
